Food Fight! Cops Greet AAL Flight In JAX

Did Cabin Crew Contribute To Passenger's Angst?

Miami-Dade police were on hand Monday when American Airlines Flight 1842 landed, there to greet a passenger who'd apparently gotten into an altercation with the cabin crew over... food.

Specifically, police said the Platinum-level frequent flyer walked into the 767's galley, claiming he was entitled to a meal rather than mere pretzels and a soft drink. The flight attendant told him he was wrong and, according to the police report, another flight attendant attempted to push the passenger out of the galley.

The passenger calmed down, according to authorities. But the aircraft was still met by police cruisers at the gate -- a precaution, according to law officers. The passenger, whose name wasn't released, will not be charged.
