ICARUS Awarded Department of State Contract

ICARUS Devices, a Wisconsin-based start-up founded by Nick Sinopoli in the wake of a friend’s aviation-related death, announced on 19 April 2023 that it has been awarded a contract to supply its Instrument Conditions Awareness Recognition and Understanding System (ICARUS) smart View-Limiting Device (VLD) to AAR Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS)—a privately-owned, Illinois-based provider of aviation fabrication and repair services—and the U.S. Department of State Air Wing. The contract includes both standard ICARUS Devices and the Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible iteration of the ICARUS visor.

Aerojet Rocketdyne to Power 3 More Orion Spacecraft

Follow-On Contract Awarded to Support Artemis VI-VIII

Aerojet Rocketdyne has been given a $67 million contract award from Locheed Martin that will provide 3 more Orion spacecraft with engines, slated for use in Artemis missions 6 through 8. The new development is an add-on to the 2019 Orion Production and Operations Contract, coming hot on the heels of a successful test flight following the NASA Artemis I mission. The contract award includes the delivery of 3 sets of the Orion service module's auxiliary engines, with 3 additional jettison motors.

GateOne Expands FBO Operations

Fourth GateOne Location to Open on Wyoming’s GCC

On 20 April 2023, GateOne announced it had acquired the FBO operation at Gillette, Wyoming’s Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport (GCC). The location is the fourth for the company and its first in the Cowboy State. The acquisition came via a Request For Proposal (RFP) process initiated following the 2022 completion of the airport’s new $3.3-million general aviation terminal. Witnesses Observed The Accident Airplane Descending Through The Clouds Rapidly, In A Nose Down Profile

On April 2, 2023, at 0950 Pacific daylight time, a Cirrus Design Corporation SR22, N424SW, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Oxbow, Oregon. The pilot and the passenger sustained fatal injuries.
