Dassault Falcon Celebrates 7X Sale At Asian Aerospace 2006

Dassault Falcon tells Aero-News the company wrapped up a successful showing at the recent Asian Aerospace 2006 show in Singapore with the sale of a Falcon 7X to a customer in the Asia-Pacific area.

"The advanced technology, performance and exception fuel efficiency of the 7X have been generating interest and winning customers around the globe," said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. "We’ve been increasing our marketing presence in the Asia-Pacific over the past several years and our efforts are paying off."

Over 80 orders have been received for the Falcon 7X, two of which are in the Asia-Pacific area. Last year, Dassault also named a dedicated Director of Sales for China, Carlos Brana.

In addition to the new 7X sale, the first ever sale of a new Falcon in China took place in late December 2005, when state-owned financial services firm Citic purchased a Falcon 900DX.

With flight testing about one-third complete, improvements were recently announced for the Falcon 7X that will increase the range to 6000 nm and increase the payload capacity by 50%.

Certification for the Falcon 7X is expected in early 2007, with first deliveries starting shortly thereafter.
