NBAA Honors Don Baldwin with 2021 Doswell Award

Celebrating Lifetime Achievement of Bizjet Safety Guru

The National Business Aviation Association announced the newest recipient of their 2021 John P. "Jack" Doswell award, to be given during the organization's upcoming Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) from Oct 12-14 in Las Vegas, NV.

Don Baldwin has a long history of safety advocacy and volunteering. Starting off building a career in business aviation, he put his experience to work by writing and developing safety standards for flight departments and transport organizations. His company, started in 2004 as Baldwin Safety & Compliance, continues to assist charter operators, FBO's, public services, air carriers, and business aviators.

This award adds to Don's accomplishments, joining his NBAA 50-Year Safe Flying award and "Top Gun" award for his novel approach to business safety. He served on a number of industry boards and committees, including the NetJets Advisory Board, FAA FOARQ Committee, and Embraer Advisory Board.

Begun in 1987, the Doswell Award is granted for lifelong individual achievement on behalf of and in support of the aims and goals of business aviation. The award is not given years, but given out only when the NBAA feels appropriate achievements have been made.
