Sonex Holds 14th Annual Open House And Homecoming Fly-In July 23rd In Oshkosh

Gathering Happening The Day Before AirVenture Gets Underway

Sonex Aircraft will once again hold its Open House and Homecoming Fly-In the day before EAA AirVenture Oshkosh begins, July 23rd 2017, at Sonex factory headquarters on the east side of Wittman Regional Airport. The 2017 event marks the 14th annual gathering for customer-built aircraft at the Sonex facility. The event runs from 10am to 2pm central time and concludes with a mass taxi “arrival” of customer and factory aircraft across Wittman field to AirVenture grounds.

Weather permitting, multiple customer-built Sonex Aircraft are typically on-display at the event. This year’s Homecoming Fly-In will feature the first customer-built SubSonex Personal Jet in-attendance, as builder John Corneal will be bringing his SubSonex to AirVenture from Petersburg, Pennsylvania.

The Sonex Aircraft Open House and Homecoming Fly-In is a great opportunity for AirVenture attendees to tour the Sonex Aircraft facilities, meet the staff, see customer aircraft and meet their owners/builders, all in one location. The 2 p.m. mass taxi to AirVenture grounds is always an impressive sight.

Customer aircraft can also be seen on the AirVenture flight line adjacent to the Sonex Aircraft exhibit in the North Aircraft Display Area, once the show begins. Sonex Aircraft also conducts daily factory tours during AirVenture.

Sonex Aircraft, LLC is a leader in the experimental kit aircraft industry, providing a series of sport aircraft along with the AeroConversions line of products, which include the AeroVee engine, AeroVee Turbo, AeroInjector and ancillary aviation products. Sonex Aircraft’s Sonex, Waiex, and Onex sport planes, the Xenos sport motorglider, and the SubSonex Personal Jet, offer outstanding performance in an easy to build, easy to fly kit package that can be purchased and completed with full technical support at an unrivaled price.
