Sling Pilot Academy Is Hosting Girls In Aviation Day

Event Planned For October 4 In Torrance, CA

The Sling Pilot Academy is hosting Girls In Aviation Day on October 4th from 4-6 p.m. in its hangar. They are extending an open invitation to girls and their families come out and spend a fun-filled day full of aviation activities.

The event will be held at the Sling Pilot Academy facility in Torrance, CA. Participants can lear about airplanes and careers in aviation, tour the airport tower, and find out what it takes to become a pilot.

Spots are limited for the event, so interested persons are asked to R.S.V.P. with SPA's Anistasia Vestrova.

The fifth international Girls in Aviation Day on October 5, 2019. According to WAI, last year's international Girls in Aviation Day was a huge success reaching 15,200 attendees, girls age 8-17, around the world.  On October 13, 2018, 105 chapters and corporate members held 101 separate Girls in Aviation Day events including 10 international chapters, 26 corporate member events, 20 student chapters, and 49 U.S. chapters. International events were held in 15 countries including Australia, Botswana, Canada, England, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Ireland, Kenya, Netherlands, Nigeria, Spain, United States, and Zambia.

The Sling Pilot Academy is just one of hundreds of events to be held around the world next month.
