Extensive Training Program Will Be Conducted Before Flying SpaceShipTwo

Virgin Galactic has appointed two new pilots to its Pilot Corps, bringing the total number of pilots to eight. Jameel Janjua and Patrick Moran will be based at Spaceport America, New Mexico, and join the Virgin Galactic team as preparations for commercial service continue. Both will embark on an extensive training program before flying SpaceShipTwo. In addition to the Spaceship, the pilots will also train to fly the carrier aircraft, VMS Eve. "The Engine “Went Back To Idle, Like Someone Had Pulled The Throttle Back"

On October 1, 2020, at 2004 eastern daylight time, a Beechcraft M35 Bonanza, N656V, was involved in an accident in Green Sea, South Carolina. The private pilot and the passenger sustained minor injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot provided a written statement and conducted a telephone interview with a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) aviation safety inspector, and his description of events was consistent throughout. The pilot said they departed Greensboro (GSO), North Carolina en route to Myrtle Beach (MYR), South Carolina.

Go Around Instructions for a pilot to abandon his/her approach to landing. Additional instructions may follow. Unless otherwise advised by ATC, a VFR aircraft or an aircraft conducting visual approach should overfly the runway while climbing to traffic pattern altitude and enter the traffic pattern via the crosswind leg. A pilot on an IFR flight plan making an instrument approach should execute the published missed approach procedure or proceed as instructed by ATC; e.g., “Go around” (additional instructions if required).
