APS Responds To Reduced Operational Activity Due To COVID-19

Addresses Rusty Manual Handling Proficiency 'Head-on'

Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) is offering a ½ day in-flight jet pilot training session focused on improving manual flight operations proficiency. This course offers a turnkey solution to the COVID-induced decline of manual handling skills, a growing industry safety threat.

In response to professional jet pilots’ reduced operational activity due to COVID-19, APS announced today a ½-Day Jet Manual Handling Skills Course. This single-flight safety training course directly addresses the threat of declining manual flight operations proficiency for jet pilots across the aviation industry.

Leveraging the SIAI Marchetti S211 swept-wing, complex, glass cockpit, all-attitude-capable jet, the flight profile is focused on a diversity of manual handling operations to include slow flight, clean and configured approach to stall and stall conditions, flight path management exercises, and low/high speed energy management, combined with essential Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) fundamentals.

APS ½-Day Jet Manual Handling Skills Course details:

  • Sign up: apstraining.com/jethandling
  • Initial offering limited to fifty (50) course slots
  • Pilots have up to one year to fly the program, although immediate completion is recommended
  • Pilots securing training slots before 31 December 2020 get a 1-year all-access pass to APS’s online training academy directly focused on manual flight operations proficiency.

“There is no better short-course I can think of than this in-flight ½-Day Jet Manual Handling Skills session by APS to quickly and thoroughly allow jet pilots to rapidly and comprehensively refresh their manual flight operations proficiency,” said Paul BJ Ransbury, CEO of APS.

“In addition, jet pilots taking the ½-day course will get foundational Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT) that can be fully credited towards expanded UPRT services by APS."
