T-6G Involved In Landing Accident At Culpeper County, VA Airport

Two Injured When The Plane Flipped Over After Touching Down

Two men were hospitalized over the weekend after the 1949 T-6G airplane they were aboard was involved in a runway excursion and flipped over after landing Saturday.

Television station WJLA reports that the airplane was being flown by 56-year-old Daniel Haug of Culpeper. His passenger was 74-year-old John Reavis Jr.

The accident occurred at about 1:40 p.m. local time during an event held by the Capital Wing of the Commemorative Air Force. Authorities said that the plane was attempting to land at Culpeper Regional Airport in Brandy Station when it ran off the side of the runway and flipped over. Haug was taken to Culpeper Hospital, while Reavis Jr. was flown to INOVA Fairfax Hospital, according to the Virginia State Police. Their conditions have not been released, according to the report.
