You Picked 'Em: ANN Announces Caption Contest Winner

The Envelope Please...

Yes, it's admittedly a shameless reason for showing you the subject of our most recent caption contest:

A lot of you wrote in your captions, so we asked you to pick a winner. Well, you've done that and the winning entry comes from John Schmidt of St. Paul, MN:

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, seated at a window seat next to his priest, on a recent airline flight: "I don't know, Father. The Friends of Miegs Field and a lot of pilots are STILL criticizing me for what I did to some stupid little waterfront airport. If only I had a sign from God, some way of knowing what HIS opinion is regarding my order to bulldoze the runway....."

John wins a copy of the Klyde Morris compendium, "Klyde Morris, The Only Ant In Aviation (Spring-Loaded to the Ticked Off Position)" by Wes Oleszewski. Congratulations, John!

If you have a photo worthy of a caption contest, please send it along to editor@aero-news.net .
