TCCA Approves Cessna Jet Replacement Stair

Transport Canada has approved SkyWay's Cessna Citation SkyStep modification, adding to the company's roster of approvals.

To date, the SkyStep system has been STC approved by the FAA, the EASA, Brazilian ANAC, and the TCCA. The SkyStep fits everything from the classic Citation C500 to the most modern CJ3+, allowing any operator an easy, turnkey safety improvement across all airport conditions. The original citations "spindly shortcomings" are replaced with a stable, robust, self-contained stair for easy embarkation no matter how wet or slippery the conditions.

Overall, the SkyStep is available for the C500, 501, 550, 551, S550, 560, 525, 525A, and 525B, covering the lineup from the CJ1 all the way to the CJ3+ and Encore. In addition to offering a lower, easier access stairway, the SkyStep provides a more enclosed, protected footwell leading into the aircraft. A 3-step stair over the OEM 2-stepper makes for easier entry for those with mobility issues, increasing accessibility. With full, aluminum manufacture, the modification does little to add weight to the aircraft, ensuring as little operational change as possible. SkySteps can be installed in as little as 2 hours at any qualified maintenance facility, or the company's Uvalde, Texas factory.
