L-3 Appoints Kris Ganase President of Aviation Products

Will Oversee ACSS, Other Av-Divisions

L-3 Communications announced Thursday Kris Ganase has been appointed to the newly created position of President of Aviation Products within the corporation's Products Group. Ganase will report to Charles J. Schafer, President and Chief Operating Officer of L-3's Products Group.

In this new role, Ganase will oversee the Aviation Products businesses, including ACSS, Avionics Systems, Aviation Recorders and Electrodynamics, Inc. and he will support Schafer in capitalizing on the divisions' capabilities to expand L-3's market presence.

"This new position will enable us to focus on leveraging group synergies as we pursue expanded business opportunities in the aviation marketplace," said Mr. Schafer. "With his demonstrated success at ACSS, Kris has a long performance record of penetrating new markets, and we look forward to his increased contributions in growing our aviation business and meeting the needs of our customer base."

Ganase has over 22 years of aviation industry experience in the areas of engineering, marketing, business development and programs. Most recently he served as President of ACSS, a Joint Venture Company owned by L-3 and Thales, a position he has held since 2004.

Prior to that, Ganase was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at ACSS from 2001 to 2004 and held the position of Vice President of Operations for Thales Avionics Canada from 1996 to 2000.
