2014 Strong Year For Quest Aircraft

Aircraft Deliveries Increased Along With Significant Milestones

Quest Aircraft Company delivered 30 Kodiaks in 2014, an increase over the previous year and a significant increase over 2012. The company also unveiled several product enhancements and upgrades for the airplane.

“We continue to increase our production and deliveries of the Kodiak as the market rebounds and demand for a versatile aircraft like the Kodiak grows,” said Sam Hill, Quest Aircraft CEO. “We have experienced solid growth both geographically and in a range of market segments. Asia and North America were strong markets for us last year, and we are working to expand our market expansion there as well as other parts of the world in the coming year.”

2014 also saw the achievement of several key milestones, including the certification of a new interior and new avionics equipment. Quest also received FAA approval for a TKS Tank installation in the KODIAK cargo pod and an increase in the aircraft’s landing weight.

“We continue to enhance the Kodiak as well as offer new options based on our own market knowledge and the feedback our customers provide,” said Steve Zinda, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The enhancements we made in 2014 provide Kodiak operators with even more reliability and versatility, and we continue to work to provide additional performance and feature upgrades that appeal to a broad range of users.”

In September, Quest received FAA approval for the integration of the Garmin GFC 700 Automatic Fight Control System (AFCS) in the Kodiak. Earlier in the year, the company received certification of the new Summit Executive interior. The top-of-the-line five-place interior features club seating, two fold-out tables and two easy-access storage cabinets.

Customers now have three interior choices to choose from and two color schemes. Both the Summit and the Garmin Autopilot are available in new Kodiak and can also be retrofitted in existing airplanes.

”Much of our success comes from listening to our customer base and continuing to offer a product that can perform a wide variety of missions,” added Zinda. “Additional enhancements for the Kodiak are in progress and we look forward to announcing several new features and options later this year.”

Kodiaks are in operation around the world in key market segments including personal use, Part 135 operations, government, and humanitarian organizations. The airplane is certified in 17 countries, with several additional certifications expected soon.
