Will Provide Unmanned Systems Training
FlightSafety International has been selected by Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) to provide Unmanned Systems Training.
The CNSP will begin with eLearning Part 107 Test Preparation and eLearning UAS Essentials Library. This will be followed by Theoretical and Practical UAS Instructor led training. The Trusted Operator Program (TOP) Certification Level 1 requirements will be met with the Part 107 Test Preparation course, and Levels 2 and 3 certification requirements will be met with our Instructor-led courses. The partners are also coordinating FAA WINGS credit through the University of Alaska-Fairbanks FAA UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP) of which CNSP is a member.
John “JC” Coffey, Executive Director of Unmanned Systems at Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs, said “FlightSafety is a premier partner to work with, in training and educating our UAS Pilots.” JC, a former Naval Aviator, has trained with FlightSafety International, and appreciates the quality and safety mindset of his past experiences.
FlightSafety provides UAS training in the Las Vegas area, and at several other FlightSafety Learning Centers in the United States. The Advanced Remote Pilot Series practical training courses feature a comprehensive set of training elements that are designed to propel drone pilots into the commercial UAS sector, with the skills and tools required to operate effectively.
These courses form the necessary foundation for safe and reliable professional commercial UAS operations. This AUVSI TOP compliant training focuses on standardization and professionalism. The courses are built to FAA UAS standards and to those of other aviation regulatory authorities around the world. FlightSafety also offers a series of eLearning courses that include a 107 Written Test Preparation course, as well as Resource Management, Fatigue Management, and Safety Management System for UAS Operations. A free Flight Risk Assessment Tool (FRAT) is available in the Apple iTunes app store for iPhone and iPad.
