uAvionix Announces Qualified Installer Mobile Installation Network

Will Help Ease The Installation Crush As ADS-B Deadline Nears

uAvionix, the designer and manufacturer of the popular skyBeacon and tailBeacon line of ADS-B Out products, has announced the launch of its nationwide mobile installer network, known as Qualified Installers (QIs), along with an invitation for avionics repair shops and mechanics to join the growing network of uAvionix service professionals.

As the 2020 ADS-B mandate looms, avionics shops are already reporting bookings at capacity. With tens of thousands of GA aircraft yet to equip in 2019, the QI network provides quick installation services outside of the standard shop hangars. SkyBeacon and tailBeacon can be installed right on the ramp in under an hour, with no need to take up valuable shop space. This allows repair shops to introduce additional capacity, and also allows independent QIs to provide installation services right at the customer’s home airport.

uAvionix is inviting repair shops and Airframe and Powerplant mechanics (A&Ps) with Inspection Authority (IA) to sign up with uAvionix to receive discounted pricing, training, and prioritized support. QIs will profit through resale of the products, as well as through installation services with their customers.

“We created the Qualified Installer program in response to the intense demand from avionics shops and independent A&Ps who want to represent our product,” states Christian Ramsey, President. “They recognized the potential for supplemental capacity and income; products like skyBeacon and tailBeacon represent in the current backlogged environment leading up to the 2020 deadline. The best part is, this is fantastic news for our customers who are searching for installation services.”
