ACSF Announces New Board Member

Captain Lou Németh, Chief Safety Officer At CAE, Tapped For The Position

The Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF) has selected Captain Lou Németh, Chief Safety Officer at CAE, Inc. to the ACSF Board of Governors.

Captain Németh is responsible for flight safety matters at CAE, a world leader in aviation training. CAE trains more than 120,000 pilots per year globally and operates more than 50 aviation training centers globally, 9 ab-initio training locations and more than 250 full-flight simulators. The company employs more than 800 instructor personnel for ab-initio, commercial, business aviation, and helicopter pilot and maintenance/technical training.

Németh is type-rated on the A320, A330, B727, B737, B757/767, DC9/MD90, LearJet, LR45, T-33, and Gulfstream 5/550/450. Németh is active on several international rulemaking committees, and either serves or leads committees on behalf of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Federal Aviation Administration. Németh’s most recent work has been in the rulemaking area of upset prevention and recovery training, and flight path management.

“I am honored to be appointed to the ACSF Board of Governors,” said Nemeth.  “Lou’s knowledge, experience and leadership in the aviation industry will help support and sustain the foundation’s ongoing and future safety activities,” said ACSF President Bryan Burns.
