InterDrone Opens In Las Vegas

Billed As Nation's Largest Commercial Drone Show

The International Drone Conference & Exposition is officially open at the Rio in Las Vegas. The event features more than 3,000 UAV builders, flyers and buyers; 104 classes and panels, and nearly 100 exhibiting companies in 148 booths.

Chris Anderson, CEO of 3D Robotics and founder of DIY Drones, delivered the Opening Keynote address Wednesday.

"InterDrone is the largest commercial drone conference and expo in North America this year, reaching every constituency in this red-hot market," said Ted Bahr, Chairman of InterDrone. "More than 150 media and association partners on five continents have helped build InterDrone into the premier 'Big Tent' commercial drone event on this continent."

The InterDrone technical program spreads across three conferences, Drone TechCon, for builders, engineers and software developers; Drone Flyer for UAV pilots and operators; and Drone Business for drone dealers and service businesses. More than 120 drone industry experts are speaking at InterDrone.

Other events include a Yes-Fly Zone for drone demos in the exhibit hall, the InterDrone Film Festival, the Women in Drones Networking Luncheon, The Hanger, a separate ballroom featuring UAV start-up companies, and The Bench, a cluster of law firms standing ready to answer the evolving questions surrounding commercial drone use.

"InterDrone is a must-attend exhibition for commercial UAV operators and we're proud to be an association partner supporting this powerful, inaugural event," said Bob Gonsalves, CEO and founder of the United States Association of Unmanned Aerial Videographers, the largest membership association of commercial UAV videographers and photographers in the United States.

Next year, InterDrone will be held at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from September 7-9, 2016.
