Montair Aviation Joins Air Georgian's SOAR Program

Provides A Career Pathway For First Officer Candidates

Air Georgian's SOAR program for aviation career awareness, recruitment and retention continues to grow with the addition of Montair Aviation to their flight school program. The partnership provides a career pathway for instructors at Montair to become First Officers with Air Georgian.

"Montair is excited to offer our aspiring airline pilots the opportunity to advance their careers through the SOAR program," says Montair's Director of Flight Operations, Blair Parrant. "We are proud to be involved in such a motivating and rewarding opportunity while supporting growth within the aviation industry."

"We're proud to partner with great flight training providers such as Montair through the SOAR program," says Air Georgian's System Chief Pilot, Jeff Tillapaugh. "This partnership offers Montair instructors career progression from a Class IV instructor to a CRJ Captain and beyond."

Montair enters SOAR through Air Georgian's ATAC member program which is open to all ATAC member airlines and flight schools. The program is designed to provide SOAR partnered operators and flight schools with predictable, timed attrition with extended notice periods while providing their employees visibility regarding career progression with an entry point to the Air Canada system. With this new partnership the list of ATAC member partners continues to grow ahead of SOAR's official November 2017 launch.

SOAR (Sharing Opportunities for Advancement and Reward) is comprised of three initiatives:

Raising awareness of careers in aviation for high school students
Working with flight schools and 703/704 operators to recruit pilots into Air Georgian, and;
Providing career fulfillment and advancement opportunities for employees
