Former Military Installation Now Includes Theater, Coffee
Bar
Officials with Million Air recently celebrated the
transformation of Million Air Victorville from a military base into
a luxury, executive terminal for military and private aircraft
featuring a theater, pilot lounge, flight-planning room, quiet
rooms, coffee bar, cafe and more.
The terminal in Victorville, located at Southern California
Logistics Airport (VCV), has serviced aircraft as part of the
Million Air network for two years. During that time, the
10,000-square-foot, one-story building under went a $500,000
renovation to become a luxury facility with first-class
amenities.
Southern California Logistics Airport boasts the second longest
runway in the United States at 15,050 feet. Located approximately
80 miles northeast of Los Angeles, the Victorville facility is
ideal for travelers headed to or from southern California.
"This location offers an attractive alternative to those who
would rather avoid the hassle and congestion of Los Angeles
International Airport, the world’s fourth-busiest passenger
airport, and other regional airports," said Roger Woolsey, Million
Air president and CEO. "Completing this renovation brings us one
step closer to shifting the facility’s client base from
almost entirely military to a more balanced mix that includes more
business and private customers."
Million Air, one of the largest aviation service companies in
the world, provides executive airplane terminal services and
upscale private charter. Headquartered in Houston, the company
operates a network of more than 30 facilities in the United States,
Canada, France and the Caribbean.
