New Specification of HondaJet Sports Better Amenities, Avionics, and Performance than Ever Before
Honda Aircraft Company's newest rendition of their HondaJet Elite II has finally made its way before the public at the 2023 European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition, available for in-person examination after the Elite II was announced last October.
The week began with a handful of announcements at EBACE, as usual, as the Euro bizjet industry descended upon Geneva, Switzerland to see the latest and greatest on offer. Honda's Elite II, announced last fall, has so far remained the stuff of photos and websites until now. For the first time prospective buyers can give the aircraft a walkaround, to see whether or not an upgrade is in the cards for them. The Honda crew brought the Elite II over using the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Book and Claim Program for its ferry flights, making each trip to and from Geneva less impactful in carbon output.
The model sports a 1,547-nm range, the result of Honda's dogged pursuit of efficiency for the follow-up to the base Elite model. The HondaJet's set of GE Honda Aero HF120 engines have been able to provide performance that punches above expectations for such a 'young' bizjet manufacturer. Their efficiency, and performance are enough to earn them a seat at the jet table, but the livability of their quiet overwing installation has made fans of buyers and fractional operators alike. The Elite II builds on the older spec HondaJets with current-gen G3000 avionics and single-pilot capability, making it a great all-arounder for any light jet mission.
“Debuting our latest aircraft at EBACE marks an important milestone for everyone at Honda Aircraft Company, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to excellence," said Honda Aircraft President & CEO Hideto Yamasaki. “The HondaJet Elite II continues our dedication to exceeding the expectations of customers worldwide by setting new standards in performance, efficiency and comfort for the future of very light jets.”
