How To Fly The Garmin G1000

Training Video from Sporty's

Buying an onboard GPS is no small investment -- in terms of money and time invested. Now, you can find out what it's like to fly with the Garmin G1000 integrated glass-panel avionics system in Sporty's latest DVD, "Flying the Garmin G1000."

Ride along with Richard Collins in Sporty's G1000-equipped Cessna 182 where he'll show you how the system operates and how to best use the system both in the air and on the ground.

Flying the Garmin G1000 is not a boring lecture course. It's packed with real world flying footage and features a section showing the system in operation during a GPS approach. You will see the terrain proximity, lightning detection, and traffic information service all included with this system that significantly improves safety and enhances situational awareness.

The DVD also explains how the battery and display redundancy of the G1000 allows the system to continue functioning after multiple component failures. It's a great way to explore this advanced avionics package through a pilot's-eye-view and discover the full capabilities of the G1000 glass-panel technology.

ANN Note: We're looking the DVD over right now, and we can recommend it strongly. More info to come.
