NetJets, Flight Attendants, Agree To Terms

Negotiations Result in First Ever Agreement Between Parties

NetJets Aviation (NJA) Monday announced it had reached a tentative agreement with its flight attendants for the parties' first ever contract. The tentative agreement, which calls for an increase in flight attendant salaries and the payment of a bonus, the recognition of flight attendant seniority, enhanced grievance and arbitration provisions, and a comprehensive scope clause, was negotiated and endorsed by the leadership of the flight attendants' union (International Brotherhood of Teamsters through the Airline Division, Local 284).

The agreement, which was reached on September 15, 2005, will cover around 140 NetJets Aviation flight attendants.

NetJets Aviation President Bill Boisture said, "NetJets is proud of the dedication and hard work of its flight attendants and we believe this contract is fair and will help NetJets retain its position as market leader. This tentative agreement shows our commitment to increasing flight attendant salaries, enhancing their benefit program and improving job security and career opportunities."

"We are delighted to have reached this tentative agreement with our flight attendants and are confident that this contract will be accepted by the membership."

NetJets Aviation understands that the union will provide the flight attendants with extensive information about the new contract. It is anticipated that the union will hold a series of informational meetings to explain and discuss the contract with the flight attendants prior to a vote on ratification, which is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
