Amerijet Pilots Ratify Tentative Agreement

45%+ Pay Raises, Better Schedules, Work Rules, & Retirement on the Way?

Amerijet International pilots, represented by their friends from the Air Line Pilots Association, voted to ratify a tentative agreement with company brass to the tune of 80% approval.

Of the 120 eligible pilots who voted, 96 opted for the new collective bargaining agreement, which would provide a 3-year deal with "pay raises upwards of 45 percent, as well as improvements to schedules, work rules, and retirement security". The deal will help to keep Amerijet pilots in their seats in a time of increasing inter-carrier competition, an important aspect for any smaller operator looking to guard its in-house talent.

“I am thrilled that our pilots demonstrated their unity and commitment to attain a collective agreement that reflects the contributions we bring to the success of our airline,” said Captian Tim Millar, chair of the Amerijet ALPA Master Executive Council. “The days of our pilots working under an incredibly subpar and outdated contract will soon be over. With the improvements in pay, quality of life, retirement, and insurance, I believe we will enable the company to recruit and retain pilots to sustain our continued growth into new markets.”
