CAE has sold six simulators to customers in Asia and North America: one for Bombardier Aerospace to support in the development of the Global(i) 7000(i) and Global 8000(i) aircraft program; one Boeing 737-800 to Alaska Airlines; one A320 for the Asian Aviation Center of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and three simulators for the Zhuhai Flight Training Center in China: an Airbus A330, a Boeing 737 and a Boeing 777. In addition, CAE sold simulator updates to various customers.

The contracts are worth a total of more than C$85 million ($86 million U.S.) at list prices, and bring the total number of simulator sales that CAE has announced to date during fiscal year 2013 to 16. "We are excited about supporting Bombardier once again in their new aircraft development programs using CAE's unique simulation engineering expertise and we are very pleased to welcome Alaska Airlines as a new full-flight simulator customer," said Jeff Roberts, CAE's Group President, Civil Simulation Products, Training and Services. "Through the simulator orders from the Asian Aviation Centre of Excellence and the Zhuhai training centre, we are happy to support the growth of the fleets of China Southern, Air Asia and other airlines throughout Asia."

Bombardier Aerospace
Under the agreement with Bombardier, CAE will provide a comprehensive suite of products, engineering services and simulation-based technology tools, including a simulator, to support the design, testing and certification of the Global 7000 and Global 8000 aircraft platform as part of Bombardier's Integrated System Test and Certification Rig (ISTCR).

Alaska Airlines
This is Alaska Airlines' first full-flight simulator order with CAE. The CAE 7000 Series Boeing 737-800 simulator will be delivered in 2014 to Alaska's training centre in Seattle, Washington.

Asian Aviation Center of Excellence (AACE)
The CAE 5000 Series A320 full-flight simulator will be the 7th for AACE and will be delivered in 2013 to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. AACE is a joint venture between AirAsia and CAE.

Zhuhai Flight Training Center (ZFTC)
CAE will deliver the three full-flight simulators for Airbus A330, Boeing 737 and Boeing 777 training to ZFTC by the end of 2013. ZFTC is a joint venture between China Southern Airlines and CAE, and is the largest independent commercial aviation training center in China with 24 simulators installed or on order.
