EAA Webinars Draw Thousands

Virtual Ultralight Days a Resounding Success

Lovers of Low and Slow were captivated by the EAA’s Virtual Ultralight Days, which returned in 2023 with 15 webinars over three-days in late February.

The presentations highlighted the joys of ultralight flight to the more than five-thousand enthusiasts who availed themselves of live webinars featuring a variety of ultralight topics, including how to get started in the endeavor of ultralight flying, maintenance tips, and airport operations.

The Virtual Ultralight Days program is a single facet of the EAA’s robust online curricula for aviators and/or those interested in the world of flight. January 2023’s  Homebuilders Week saw a record number of more than fifteen-thousand webinar attendees. Learn to Fly week will make its debut in May 2023 with five-days comprising 11 webinars, the goal of which is to help aspiring pilots achieve their dreams. The aforementioned events complement the EAA’s year-round series of webinars which contemporaneously teach viewers about aviation history and present tips germane to becoming a better pilot.

EAA Director of Chapters & Homebuilt Community Charlie Becker stated: “Two of our primary goals are to help pilots improve their skills and inspire the next generation. Webinars are an efficient way for us to help educate not only our members, but all those who are seeking more information on a variety of flight activities.”

The entirety of the EAA’s webinars are offered free of charge to all inclined to attend. What’s more, archived recordings of past webinars are available online to EAA members.

The Oshkosh, Wisconsin-based Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) 270,000 members and nine-hundred local chapters collectively embody The Spirit of Aviation through their shared passion for flying, building, and restoring recreational aircraft.
