Vector Aerospace Centralizes PWC PW300 Series Capability In The UK

Gosport Site Named A Designated Overhaul Facility For Multiple Engines

Vector Aerospace will extend coverage from its UK facility for Pratt & Whitney Canada's PW300 turbofan engine.

Vector Aerospace's Fleetlands site in Gosport has been a Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) for the PW307A (Dassault Falcon 7X), PW308A (Hawker 4000) and PW308C (Dassault Falcon 2000) models since June 30th 2008. Now, with the DOF licenses for the PW305A (Bombardier Learjet 60), PW305B (Hawker 1000), PW306A (Gulfstream G200) and PW306C (Cessna Citation Sovereign) variants centralised, Vector offers MRO and test capability from its UK facility for over 90 percent of all PW300 engines models.

Since its introduction 25 years ago, the PW300 has accumulated over 15 million flying hours. Equipped with full authority digital engine control (FADEC) the PW300 powerplant is prized in the 4,700- to 8,000-lb thrust class for its low fuel consumption and sets the standard for environmental friendliness, reliability and economical operation.

"The overhaul and test capabilities, in conjunction with our mobile repair team capability, further enhances our service offering to our customers operating the PW300," said Adrian Johnson, Director, Vector Aerospace Engine Services - UK. "We look forward to serving the needs of these business jet operators around the world, and to working with fixed-base operators (FBOs) to expand our support.

"Our PW300 DOF authorisation is a testament to the work we have done with Pratt & Whitney Canada over our more than 25-year relationship and to the high level of service we provide to our customers."
