ICAS '04: Air Show Marketing Awards Announced

350+ submissions in fourteen categories judged, best examples honored during luncheon

The International Council of Air Shows on Wednesday honored the best marketing products out of 350 entries submitted to the organizations for its yearly judged competition during its 2004 convention in Las Vegas (NV).

The luncheon was hosted by air show announcer and two-time MC for the awards, Ric Peterson. To say that he had the audience in tears during the presentation would be an understatement. Peterson is that rare type of announcer who has a cutting wit and a sharp tongue, and also knows his air show material inside out.

The awards presented to air show organizers during the activity were given in two categories; small (less than 15,000 spectators) and large (more than 15,000 spectators) air shows. Awards were also given to individual performers and/or their organizations.
