Video Footage Of The Accident Airplane Showed The Airplane On Fire Prior To The Impact

On November 22, 2022, about 1824, Pacific standard time, an amateur-built XLT-RG (Velocity), N101BH, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Banning, California. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 cross-country personal flight. A witness stated that he was driving on Interstate 10 when he noticed a trail of smoke and fire from the rear of the airplane.
