The gang here at ANN got a bit of sad shock this past week as we learned of the passing of US Ultralight Association Founder John Ballantyne... one of the most professional and effective aero-folks we have ever worked with. John occasionally served as a fly-writer for ANN, but more importantly, he was our friend.
Stefan Zeberli Becomes World Hot Air Balloon Champion For 2022
Just a few days ago, Stefan Zeberli of Switzerland was crowned World Hot Air Balloon Champion 2022, under a beautiful blue sky in Musrka Sobata, Slovenia. The pilot was already a name to watch out for, having moved from 3rd place in Saga, 2016 up to silver medal position in 2018, but was behind Yudai Fujita at the start of the 2022 competition. Zeberli was handed the trophy by previous champion, British pilot Dominic Bareford.
Lincoln Is A Private Pilot Based At Lyncrest Airport In Winnipeg
Raquel Lincoln, EAA Lifetime 1306824, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, who has extensive involvement in Canadian aviation activities and organizations, has accepted the leadership for EAA’s Canadian Council. The EAA Canadian Council is the primary connection and advisory group between EAA headquarters and the association’s thousands of Canadian members.
