Acting SecAF Donovan Announces B-21 Manufacturing, Testing Locations

The 420th Flight Test Squadron At Edwards Air Force Base To Be Reactivated For Testing

Acting Secretary of the Air Force Matthew Donovan announced Sept. 16 that the B-21 Raider is being produced in Northrop Grumman’s Palmdale, CA, facility - the same location as the B-2 Spirit. In addition, the 420th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base, California, will be reactivated to support testing of the B-21 Raider, as it did for the B-2.

Airbus To Develop Technology For Ultra-High-Resolution Satellites For U.K. MOD

The Spacecraft Will Also Have The Ability To Collect Radio Frequency (RF) Signals.

Airbus has won a design study from the U.K.’s Defense Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) to develop the technologies for a cluster of ultra-high-resolution Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites for the U.K. Ministry of Defense (MOD). The satellites will also have the ability to collect radio frequency (RF) signals.

The Air Force’s all-new advanced trainer aircraft, the T-X, has officially been named the T-7A Red Hawk. Acting Secretary of the Air Force Matthew Donovan made the announcement during his speech at the 2019 Air Force Association’s Air, Space and Cyber Conference in National Harbor, Sept. 16.
