Afghan Refugee Gives Birth While Evacuating Kabul

The Birth Took Place On A US Military Aircraft, Which The Baby Was Named For

Reach is the name of a newly born Afghan girl, who was brought to safety while still inside her mother’s body and possibly one of the most dramatic delivery tales, to boot. She was named after the call sign on the Air Force C-17 that brought them to Germany on August 21, 2021 after evacuating Afghanistan. The Department of Defense had been in contact with the family since they left, thus they were able to confirm the name selection, Gen. Tod Wolters, commander of U.S. European Command said.
