The 2020 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show WAS Scheduled For Oct 16-17
It doesn't get much more disappointing than this... as just posted to the USN Blue Angels Facebook page. "It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show scheduled for Oct 16 and 17. This decision was made after considering all possible options, but was fundamentally a decision to ensure the health and safety of our personnel and the greater community. We look forward, however, to hosting the Air Show again in November of 2021.
Working In Support Of U.S. African Partnership Flight Initiative
A contract on behalf of ATI Engineering Services, LLC for two multi-mission Cessna Grand Caravan EX aircraft has been awarded for the Rwanda Defense Force (RDF) in support of the African Partnership Flight initiative. This will be the first fixed-wing aircraft to be put in service by the RDF. The aircraft, which are anticipated to enter service during the first half of 2021, will primarily be based in Kigali, Rwanda.
The HM Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter base at Prestwick, on Scotland’s west coast near Glasgow, has surpassed a major milestone after responding to 1,500 calls for support since 2016. Prestwick chalked-up its 1,500th task when a child was spotted adrift in a dinghy off the Ayrshire coast and required assistance. Captain Mark Randall, Captain Roger Stringer, winch operator Dylan Burns and winchman/paramedic Darren Jones were the on-duty crew.
