State Department Approves F-16 Sale To Taiwan

Notifies Congress Of Possible Sale Of Up To 66 Jets To The Country

The U.S. State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) for 66 F-16C/D Block 70 aircraft and related equipment and support for an estimated cost of $8 billion. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale Tuesday.

Pence: Space Command Will Launch At The End Of August

Congressional Funding Is Required To Establish The New Command

Speaking at Tuesday's meeting of the National Space Council, Vice President Mike Pence said that the U.S. Space Command will officially start on August 29th. Air Force General John Raymond has been selected and confirmed as the first leader of the command.
