NGC To Integrate AFTRS-R On Joint STARS

Will Allow Aircraft To Detect And Track Multiple Mobile Threats Simultaneously

The U.S. Air Force has awarded a contract to Northrop Grumman for the upgrade of existing radio terminals aboard the E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) fleet and replace them with Air Force Tactical Receive System-Ruggedized (AFTRS-R) terminals. AFTRS-R assures capability for the Joint STARS fleet and those interacting with the weapon system to receive intelligence reports, including threat warnings in hostile environments, ensuring undiminished battle management in support of warfighters in the air, on the ground and at sea.

Government Of Nigeria Approved For A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft Purchase

Package Includes Weapons And Associated Support

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Nigeria of twelve (12) A-29 Super Tucano aircraft and weapons, including all associated training, spare parts, aviation and ground support equipment, and hangar, facilities, and infrastructure required to support the program.
