North American Aerospace Defense Command will conduct exercise
flights December 10th around the National Capital Region
(Washington, D.C.). The flights will take place beginning
around midnight and continue into the early morning
hours.
First Of Their Type To Be Purchased For The French Navy
Two EC225s ordered by the French Armament Procurement Agency
(DGA) will be the first to be operated by the French Navy,
Eurocopter announced Monday. The helicopters, will be used to
perform search and rescue (SAR) missions off the coast of
Brittany.
Production Shifting From Edwards AFB to Palmdale,
California
The first Block 40 configuration of the RQ-4 Global Hawk
high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aircraft system (UAS)
successfully completed its first flight on Nov. 16. Designated
AF-18, the advanced capability aircraft flew for approximately two
hours.
