A strike fighter aircraft from Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 1, flying
from the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65)
in the North Arabian Gulf, attacked enemy troops engaging coalition
forces with mortar fire near Baqubah, Iraq, Nov. 28, in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Lockheed Martin has awarded CAE USA a contract valued at US$7.7
million to perform upgrades on U.S. Air Force C-130E/H simulators.
CAE will upgrade the motion and aural cue systems on eight
simulators located at Little Rock Air Force Base (AFB), Pope AFB,
McChord AFB, Dyess AFB, and the Minneapolis Air National Guard
Base.
