Racing Pilot of Note, Creighton King, Lost in Utah Aircraft Mishap

Family, Friends, and Aero Formula 1 Community Mourn Creighton King

The pilot of a Cassutt 111M racing airplane killed in the vicinity of West Jordan, Utah’s South Valley Regional Airport (U42) on Wednesday, 23 August 2023 has been identified as Creighton King, 50, of West Valley City, Utah. King, who was successively identified by family-members, the West Jordan Police Department, and social-media posts, was the downed aircraft’s owner and had raced the machine for more than a decade. A Facebook group dedicated to Cassutt aircraft claimed Mr. King, at the time of the accident, had been testing the plane in advance of a forthcoming race.

NAFI has always been a dedicated group regarding those points, looking to improve the general stock of general aviation instructor while ensuring they can provide their services year after year - ideally as lifelong professionals instead of begrudging industry stopovers.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 172

Highest Ground Speed Recorded Was 75 Knots Before The Speed Rapidly Decreased Near The End Of The Flight

On August 4, 2023, at 1201 eastern daylight time, a Cessna 172P, N697FL, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident at North Perry Airport (HWO), Pembroke Pines, Florida, the flight instructor, and the front seat passenger sustained fatal injuries, and the rear seat passenger was seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 sightseeing flight. According to family members of the passengers, the purpose of the flight was a scenic tour of downtown Miami.
