If It Isn't Broke... FAA Moves to Dynamic System

EAD, AD, and Biweekly ADs Moved Over to Dynamic Regulatory System

The FAA has announced the impending migration of Airworthiness Directives to the Dynamic Regulatory System, or DRS, that will result in all ADs being published on the new system from August 16th, 2022. Mind you; we're not sure what was wrong with the old system... the very same that nearly all of aviation was quite used to. The change will allow the administration to simplify the record keeping and dissemination of documents contained within its Regulatory Guidance Library.

NTSB Prelim: Piper PA-28-235

Passenger Stated To The Friend That They Were Having Maintenance Issues

On July 22, 2022, about 1845 central daylight time, a Piper PA-28-235 airplane, N8542W, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Seguin, Texas. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. The airplane was operated by the pilot as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The accident flight departed Elm Creek Airpark (0TX6), Seguin, Texas, with a reported destination of Natchitoches Regional Airport (IER), Natchitoches, Louisiana.
