Aviation Safety Resources to Develop Next-Gen Parachute System for eFlyer 2

ASR's Soteria Enhances Safety and Reduces Weight, Volume and Repack Intervals

Bye Aerospace has selected Aviation Safety Resources, Inc., (ASR) to supply its Soteria line of whole aircraft recovery parachutes systems for the eFlyer 2. Under the terms of the agreement, ASR will design, prototype, test and deliver a recovery system specifically for the eFlyer 2, according to George E. Bye, CEO of Bye Aerospace. "We applaud Bye Aerospace for their commitment to safety," said Larry Williams, ASR president and CEO. "Our Soteria line whole-aircraft emergency recovery parachute systems are designed to safely bring down an entire aircraft and its occupants in the event of a severe inflight emergency..."

Heck Of A Milestone! Robinson Delivers R66 #1000

First Certified In October 2010

On July 29th, Robinson delivered R66 Turbine serial number 1000 to Robinson dealer Les Gillespie of Gardner Aviation (Peachtree City, GA). FAA-certified in October 2010, the first production R66 was delivered the following month. Since then, the R66 has proven itself on a daily basis. Powered by the Rolls Royce RR300 turbine engine, the R66 recently surpassed 1.2 million flight hours without a single reported in-flight engine failure.
