All EASA Certificates Renewed As Part Of Acquisition By AVIC

Continental Motors Group, a division of AVIC International Holding Corporation announced Friday that its Technify Motors GmbH division has successfully renewed all EASA certifications required to design, produce and maintain its successful line of Jet-A fueled Centurion engines. The certification renewal was required as part of the process to complete the acquisition of the assets of Thielert Aircraft Engines.

NTSB Cites Pilot Error In February Lake Placid Accident

Says RV-10 'Drifted Off Course' And Impacted Mountainous Terrain

The NTSB says the pilot of an RV-10 which went down near Lake Placid, NY, in February attempted to land VFR at night in IFR conditions. The accident made headlines back in February, as the pilot and his two passengers all not only survived the accident, but several hours in sub-freezing temperatures waiting for rescue.
