Catalina Aircraft, holder of the Type Certificates for the 28-5ACF Catalina, today announced the rebirth of the iconic and legendary Catalina as the Catalina II Amphibious Turboprop. A production re-start program has been formalized for the Next Generation Amphibious Aircraft (NGAA) Catalina II twin turboprop amphibious flying boat, and the company is preparing to take pre-orders as part of the turboprop production re-start program.

Daher has delivered the 80th TBM 960 executive single-engine turboprop aircraft, thereby marking a milestone in the annals of the company’s top-of-the-line turboprop offering. The fourth-score TBM 960 was handed over to a private owner just over one-year after the model's April 2022 launch. To acknowledge the model’s popularity and celebrate the program’s success, Daher will exhibit its TBM 960 demonstrator aircraft at booths 387-392 throughout EAA’s AirVenture 2023 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin’s Wittman Regional Airport (OSH). Piper’s AirVenture conference didn’t have much meat on the bone for enthusiasts, but may provide a small window into where the company’s compass is pointing. Overall, the company was proud of its recent successes, coming off a record-making run of sales in 2022 to the tune of 230 aircraft. This year, the firm is on track to finish off with 270 in all. Piper dealers can barely hold on to stock, being sold out with names on the list for pretty much everything the company makes. Sure, Piper reps may see a couple M-350s, or 500s, or 600s in the system, but odds are dealers are eagerly eyeing each one to scoop them up for a client.
