On July 18 a major brush-fire broke out in the vicinity of Phelan, CA that was both dangerous and spectacular, and well covered by the media. The town of East Hampton has attempted to limit helicopter flights into their community by restricting the flights to only once per week, and by imposing a curfew for the operation.
