Enstrom Returns to AirVenture

Resurgent U.S. Helicopter Marque to Debut New Rotorcraft

Enstrom announced its 2023 return to AirVenture will see the company debut no fewer than three new helicopters at the EAA’s incomparable Oshkosh summer event. Enstrom’s management and staff look upon AirVenture 2023 as an opportunity to reintroduce the storied marque to the world, and publicly set forth “we’re back, and we’re building quality, affordable helicopters once more.”

VoltAero Unveils Cassio 330 Prototype

Of Promising Aircraft and Unfortunate Appellations  

VoltAero, the French aerospace concern founded by former Airbus chief technical officer Didier Esteyne, unveiled the first prototype of its Cassio 330 electric-hybrid Short Take-off and Landing (STOL) aircraft during an 18 June press conference at 2023’s Paris Air-Show. The first Cassio 330 prototype, somewhat unimaginatively dubbed no. 1, is slated to undertake its maiden flight in late 2023. The test aircraft will be powered by a four-cylinder Kawasaki reciprocating engine and serve to validate airframe performance, robustness, and aerodynamic efficiency. Prototype no. 1 will be followed, predictably, by no. 2.

Florida Civil Air Patrol Members Explore Aviation Careers

EAA Chapter 534 Hosts CAP Event

During a June visit to EAA Chapter 534’s hangar on Leesburg, Florida’s Leesburg International Airport (LEE), young members of the Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) Lake Composite Squadron (FL021) were provided overviews of careers within the aviation and aerospace industries to which they might aspire upon reaching college age.
