AEA To Award Cash Prizes For An Avionics Installation

You Are Invited To Enter To Win At AirVenture

To help owners of general aviation aircraft modernize their cockpits, the Aircraft Electronics Association will randomly award five aircraft owners with $1,000 toward an avionics upgrade during the Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture Oshkosh, July 25-31, in Wisconsin. Aircraft owners may enter to win one of the five $1,000 awards in Hangar B at Wittman Regional Airport, booth No. 2035/2036, beginning July 25.

Vantage is a new flight display system in an upcoming product line from Avidyne. This first product is for the generation of SR20s and SR22s that have the original Avidyne display. It is an upgrade to 12 inch screens and much more powerful processing capability, along with additional system redundancies. The upgrade will be cost effective, bigger than what it replaces and all hybrid touch. NTSB Prelim: Piper PA-32-300

About 700 Ft Mean Sea Level, The Engine Began To Surge, Followed By A Total Loss Of Engine Power

On June 4, 2022, about 1430 Pacific daylight time, a Piper PA-32-300, N561PK, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Snohomish, Washington. The pilot and passenger were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that prior to takeoff from Harvey Field Airport (S43), Snohomish, he performed an uneventful engine runup, and elected to conduct a short field takeoff from runway 17.
