Aithre Altus Meso Wirelessly Pairs To Your iOS Device

Aithre and Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems have announced a collaboration agreement to integrate Aithre wireless monitoring technology into Aerox’s line of portable oxygen tanks for GA users. The agreement also establishes Aerox Aviation Oxygen Systems as an authorized distributor for the entire Aithre product line. Under the terms of the agreement, Aerox will be the exclusive bundler of the Altus Meso wireless portable oxygen tank monitoring system for new portable oxygen systems. Pete Ring Appointed Flight Data Systems' VP of Sales and Marketing

Flight Data Systems (FDS) has announced that Pete Ring has been named Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Ring will transition from his current role as Vice President of Business Development and Chief Strategy Officer at FreeFlight Systems to Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Flight Data Systems, both of which are part of the greater ACR Group. Mr. Ring will take over sales operations for FDS during the company's 30th year of business amidst the recent launch of the SENTRY Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), the lightest, smallest, and lowest power consumption TSO'd ED-112A recorder ever manufactured.

NTSB Prelim: Bellanca 8GCBC

Glider Canopy Opens, Disastrous Sequence Follows

On May 9, 2020, about 1319 Pacific daylight time, a Bellanca 8GCBC, N4116Y, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident at Byron Airport (C83), Byron, California. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 glider tow flight. The pilot of the glider being towed reported to the National Transportation Safety Board investigator-in-charge that the accident flight was his second flight of the day. He stated that a pre-takeoff checklist was performed and that he verified the gliders canopy was closed and locked. Following a normal takeoff, the tow airplane pilot initiated a slight right turn, and shortly after, the glider canopy opened.
