Award Part Of Annual $1.2 Million Ray Aviation Scholarship Program

Wylie Howe Of Camp Verde, Arizona, has received a unique full-scholarship opportunity for flight training, thanks to EAA Chapter 952 of the Verde Valley, Arizona and the Ray Aviation Scholarship program. Wylie Howe is a 2020 graduate of Camp Verde High School where he played varsity baseball. He plans to attend Cochise College in Douglas to major in aviation. This scholarship will allow him to get his private pilot’s license before he starts his college aviation program to earn his commercial pilot’s license.

GAMA and the European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) have agreed to work together on developing aviation industry standards. The Memorandum of Understanding enables the two organisations to address issues such as hybrid electric propulsion, VTOL, cybersecurity, and will speed up the implementation of new technologies. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides a framework for cooperation between the two organisations. Pilot Realized That He Was Interrupted During His Starting Checklist And Concluded That He Did Not Turn On The Alternators

According to the pilot, after a normal start and runup, he departed the airport and climbed to the cruise altitude. After reaching that altitude, he noted a flashing message indicator on the GPS that stated there was an electrical system issue. The pilot informed air traffic control that he would return to the departure airport to repair the issue, and about 7 miles from the airport, the GPS and primary flight display began to flash. The pilot pulled the circuit breakers to the flashing displays and set up for a straight in approach to the runway. He realized the airplane needed to lose altitude and attempted to extend the fla
