FlightSim Pioneer, Rudy Frasca, Goes West

He Founded Frasca International in 1958

The news couldn't be sadder... a short note posted online said, simply, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our founder, Rudy Frasca. Rudy was an industry icon who founded Frasca International in 1958. He was a true aviation pioneer and avid pilot. He will be greatly missed. RIP Rudy. 1931- 2020" Frasca, a legend in the flight training business, also made his mark on a number of aviation disciplines, as did many of his family members, who helped to profoundly alter the aviation landscape in a very positive manner.

Alleges The Maintenance Performed By Elite Rendered Aircraft Un-Airworthy

The FAA has issued an emergency order revoking the repair station certificate of Elite Aviation Services of Springdale, Ark. The FAA alleges Elite Aviation Services improperly installed instrument lighting, navigation, autopilot and flight control systems on a Cessna 182 airplane during maintenance work performed between Nov. 9, 2018 and April 2, 2019. The company falsified maintenance records by stating it had performed this work according to specified data and required standards when it knew that was not the case, the FAA alleges...
