State Funds Totaling $12.75 Million Have Been Awarded For Various Projects

The N.C. Board of Transportation has approved state and federal funding for safety and airfield improvement projects at 10 North Carolina airports. State funds totaling $12.75 million have been awarded for various projects that help the airports increase capacity, attract new jobs and businesses to their communities, and improve safety for pilots and passengers. On March 23, 2021, about 0900 Pacific daylight time, a Cessna 172S airplane, N216Z, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident at near Everett, Washington.
