Oklahoma's Enid Woodring Regional Sees $10 Million in Renovations

4 Major Projects in the Pipeline to Augment Civil, Vance AFB Functionality

An Oklahoma airport will see a bevy of improvements to benefit both civilian and military aviators, with $10 million in construction coming to the Enid Woodring Regional Airport. Enid, and the nearby Vance Air Force Base will benefit from the renovation of the weathered crosswind runway. Airport Director Keston Cook outlined the changes: "That will be taking our asphalt crosswind runway ... currently 13-31, and tearing it fully out and replacing it with concrete," Cook said. "It will still be 3,150 feet; it will be slightly narrowed from 108 feet to 75 feet."

While In Flight, The Engine Had A Low Manifold Pressure Reading And Then The Engine Sustained A Total Loss Of Power

On February 12, 2023, about 0958 central standard time, a Mooney Aircraft Corporation M20K Encore airplane, N304MA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Lakeway, Texas. The pilot sustained no injury. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that he had recently purchased the airplane and he was relocating the airplane to his home base at the Outlaw Field Airport (CKV), Clarksville, Tennessee.
