Brad Kutz Joins Wipaire, Inc. As Vice President Of Engineering

Comes To The Company From Rockwell Collins

Wipaire welcomes Brad Kutz as Vice President of Engineering. Brad mostly recently served as a senior systems engineer for Rockwell Collins, managing development of new products to add functionality to existing platforms.  His prior experience also includes stints at Cirrus, leading broad engineering and technical support teams in China and the USA, developing systems for unmanned aerial platforms at AAI Corporation (Textron Defense Systems), along with avionics and electrical engineering development for other aerospace and defense leaders.

FAA Approves AMOC Responding To South Wind Cabin Heater AD

Will Allow Owners To Upgrade Their Cabin Heaters To Exempt Them From AD Requirements

The FAA has approved a global Alternate Method of Compliance (AMOC) covering AD 2017-06-03 on South Wind 8000-series cabin heaters. The AD requires that owner/operators of South Wind (formerly Meggitt/Stewart-Warner) heaters comply within the next 10-hours of heater operating time or next scheduled maintenance activity, whichever occurs first and then repeat compliance every two years or 250 hours.
